Presentation of the Dutch waterwork :

At the end of 2013, the Board of Directors approved the new program Water sports with dogs. Surrounding countries had already had such a program for a much longer time and with this the Netherlands found a connection abroad.

Initially only the Newfoundlander, Landseer ECT and Leonberger could participate in the program. Meanwhile, participation is open to all breeds, with or without a pedigree, and crossings, provided they have a dog log and a dispensation from the ministry.

At the start of 2019, the Waterworks Commission was appointed by the Council from Management. The committee ensures the regulation of the waterworks in the Netherlands. The committee communicates with competition organizing associations, judges and participants from home and abroad and takes care of the selection criteria for the International Cup for Waterwork dogs. The committee falls under the sports section of the Board of Directors
